This app is very effective and does not get the attention it deserves! You want quick severe weather alerts. Download this app! Set all alerts in notification preferences to Extreme to get the loud alert tone!

Loved the app, but the licensing must have changed to subscription as I believe I paid for pro at one time. Now on the free version, I no longer receive alerts for my area even though my old alert settings are still there.

This app was good in the PAST, but didn't work last night and actually put me and my son in danger. I have it set to sound the highest and loudest alert noise in the event of a Severe Thunderstorm Warning. One was issued while we were driving, but the alert never went off. We were on the highway at night and drove right into a storm that didn't look as bad as it actually was. Had the alert gone off, we would have gotten off an exit, checked the radar, and waited for the storm to pass.

I installed this app on a night that tornados were forecast and set up my city as a "fixed location." Later that night, I was awakened by the city's tornado sirens, not this app. In fact, I NEVER RECEIVED AN ALERT from this app. I don't mean I didn't hear it; it never showed up at all, even when I opened the app. It alerted me later to a severe thunderstorm warning for my area and had earlier in the evening indicated a tornado watch, but it NEVER SHOWED THE TORNADO WARNING issued by the NWS.
