I have tried multiple markdown apps on Android, many of which are more fully-featured than this one. Simple Markdown has the essentials of a basic editor for .md files (edit, preview) but is by far the easiest and least fussy to sync with desktop/laptop. If you want to just get started writing on your Android device, without dealing with endless configuration and with an easy method to sync your files (Dropbox, Google Drive), I highly recommend this app. Support the developer.

- Please make the keyboard pop-up whenever I tap anywhere on the text region. Currently, it only pops up when I tap on "Markdown here..." - Scroll for long code block doesn't work. It conflicts with switch between preview and edit mode - Inconsistent app name. Sometimes it's written "Simple Markdown" but also "Simple Markdown"

Doesn't handle "save as" properly; it will sometimes overwrite the original file as well as saving to the new file.

I chose this app for integration with Cloud But that doesn't work, really. After save the filename reverts to Untitled.md. Opening a file generates errors as often as not. Cloud now automatically opens .md files in simple markdown, but they always revert to empty file called Untitled.md. I would pay but not for this. I know the Cloud app sucks, so I commiserate, but this is useless with Cloud

Bug : horizontal scrolling brakes if you activate vertical scrolling. Making navigating of tables a torture. Missing find/replace features. Thanks for free app.

It doesn't allow me to save the changes made to existing markdown files. Every time I try saving, it says "an error occurred while saving the file".
