SipTally: Water Tracker

SipTally is a water tracker. You log what you drink, it counts toward a daily goal you set, and it reminds you if you want reminding. SipTally is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

WATER, AND THE OTHER THINGS YOU DRINK
SipTally logs sixteen kinds of drink for free and publishes the whole table inside the app, with the study it comes from and a note on every drink. The multipliers are read off the beverage hydration index in Maughan et al. 2016: skimmed milk counts 1.5 times its volume, rehydration solution 1.5, full fat milk 1.3 and orange juice 1.2, which the app flags as uncertain. Everything else counts at face value, because nine of the thirteen drinks in that trial were not measurably different from water. Coffee, tea, cola, sports drinks and beer are not penalised here. When a drink counts for more than you poured, the entry shows both numbers, what you poured and what the day counted, so nothing is rewritten behind your back.

WHAT YOU GET
Four quick-add buttons you can edit, plus any custom amount.
A daily goal between 500 ml and 10 litres, shown in millilitres or ounces.
A pace line that tells you where you are, and stays quiet on a day you have not started yet.
A week chart with your goal drawn across it, previous weeks, a breakdown by drink, and totals across your saved history.
Streaks, and your best day.
Reminders you turn on yourself: every 30 minutes to every 2 hours, inside the hours you pick. The whole window is scheduled, and Settings shows you when the next one fires and how many there are in a day.
Light and dark, or whatever your phone is set to.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO
No account and no sign-up. Your drink log is stored on your phone and SipTally does not send it anywhere. If Android backup is turned on, your phone's own backup to your Google account may include a copy of your drink log.
No subscription. SipTally is free with ads, and a single one-time purchase removes them. Nothing else sits behind it: every drink type, the reminders, the charts and the sources are free either way.
No signal required. Everything works offline.
No exact-alarm permission, which a drink reminder has no business holding.

ADS AND PRIVACY
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which uses the advertising ID on your device to serve and measure them. AdMob is never given your drink log. Removing ads is a one-time purchase, restorable on any phone signed in to the same Google account.
