Over the past few years we've talked with community members about what they'd really like in an App for Valley residents, businesses and visitors and the popular question is: Where is my Bus? And Where is the nearest bus stop - (for visitors from other towns). The app presents all the bus information stored by distance from you, and then by arrival times, if there are arrivals. One of the widely listened to stations in the area is KDNK in Carbondale, providing residents with an opportunity to be DJs, news gatherers, and part of the station. There's a KDNK steam, so you can take Smart Rider with you anywhere, and listen in to news, music, anywhere you go. Every few months we review community comments to add favorite media sources. RFTA's Facebook Feed, Twitter posts are a click away in the Smart Rider app, so you can stay informed on last-minute posts. Recycle news, a great way to see even more once your bus arrives, has a tab as well. Enjoy, and please let me know how you like it, the features you like best, and what you'd like me to add.

Update: still a poor running app, RFTA had a huge ask for a tax increase in the valley and got it, but still on the busiest weekend for the valley (food and wine) were being refused by buses because they are driving the old fleet with limited seats and the buses are too full. Bus system could be amazing but poor management and unnecessary purchases (electric buses that might not even work at altitude) ruins it to where ill just keep driving to work.

What happened RFTA? It worked great for a couple of weeks and suddenly stopped working. That was over a week ago, just saying the app should be fixed faster. I still love the BRT.

This app is completely broken none of the buses have any data this was my go-to app for a while but all of a sudden it starts to say "there seems to be no data" about every single bus and so there is no point to it
