Tested this free version with success on a local network. I used a PC on Windows. I created a root/root local account on the PC, with access to only one folder (folder acts as airlock) "c:\foobar". Then I used Powershell to map the SMB (\\someip\Main Storage in the free version) to a new drive letter L: (my phone isn't rooted, I can't use the default SMB port 445 compatible with Windows File Explorer). Then I used Windows Terminal to copy files from the L:\phone folder\ to c:\foobar. Free's limit.

Can not access phone via SMB on Windows Too many ads

Won't work. It says server started and notification is also there but can't find the server on other device. Would buy pro version if it worked.

Couldn't connect to it with the mac's Finder using to connect to server with smb//:192.168.xxx.xxx:4445 it did not work, got a vague error from the Finder

This might be a functional SMB server -- I have no way of knowIng, though, since any device trying to connect to it will use the standard port 445. Since this app insists on using a non-standard port unless you fork over cash for the "pro" version, I can't even test to see whether this is a working app which does what it says!
