Sonim Direct Mode (DM) works with Sonim XP8 and compatible Sonim XPand Direct Mode accessory to communicate when you have no service. This app ruined the xp8 experience. You can't delete it, and it takes over the PTT button. Makes it where you cannot use the Linc app without going through direct connect I am waiting on a new phone now.

Cannot uninstall. It crashes on opening then immediately tries to restart over and over. Basically a virus. Would leave negative stars if possible.

Second time I write this review because the first one mysteriously dissapeard. Do not download this or start it. You can not kill the process, and it automatically defaults to restart any time you try to exit it. I'm ABSOLUTELY regretting getting the sonim. I switched from apple for this. You can't even uninstall it. Thinking I'll have to root this oversized paper weight to get rid of it. For those of you with DM autostarting, may have found a workaround. Turn on stealth mode then turn off.
