The app is working fine with line 2 Sony alpha, but if you have line 3, just as a7m3 or a7rmr you need to buy the pro version of the app to control, yes it worth it and cheaper than buying extra gear, you need to be aware of, your phone must have IR feature in order to use this app, you can't remote by Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, time laps in this app isn't working most time, bulb mode is only working when you set your physical shutter dial turned to bulb mode otherwise you can't switch by app.
