Sort My Trash

Scan, sort, recycle — in seconds.
Sort My Trash uses AI to recognize what you’re about to throw away and tells you exactly which bin to use in your city. Cut confusion, reduce contamination, and recycle more with confidence.

How it works:
1) Point your camera at an item or take a photo
2) AI identifies the material and any mixed parts (plastic, glass, paper/cardboard, metal, organics, textiles, e-waste, batteries, etc.)
3) Get clear instructions for your location: which bin color, prep steps (rinse, remove caps/labels, flatten), and alternatives if curbside pickup doesn’t accept it

What you can scan
- Everyday packaging: bottles, cans, jars, cartons, coffee cups, takeout containers, film & wrap
- Household items: light bulbs, batteries, electronics, clothing, toys
- Tricky cases: pizza boxes, blister packs, compostables, multilayer plastics

Location-based guidance
Recycling rules differ by city. Choose your country and city (or let the app detect it), and get local bin names/colors and acceptance rules. If detailed local rules are unavailable, you’ll still get best-practice guidance and safer alternatives.

Key features
- AI Camera Scanner — instant material recognition and sorting advice
