★★★★★ Could it record the sounds on demand? When above 50db (configurable), it could rec 5s (configurable), or for while the noise remains loud, or keep recording if another loud sound happens in less than that delay. I have an abusive neighbor and I need help to defend myself or my health will get worse. Thx!

★★★★★ Easy-to-use, lightweight app. No ads! App appears to be as accurate as can be expected using Android device. Uses phone mic to detect signals. Phone mics are not as sensitive as professional SPL meters/dosimeters. However, this app is excellent in its own right for checking common everyday sound levels. Also, It would be nice if the app had a reference listing indicating what devices are equivalent to producing such decibels detected. I fully recommend this app.

★★★★★ Seems to work quite well. Simple operation. Simple, easy to read display. Yes it records if you wish. FREE and currently NO ADS. ;-) ...as a side note... after reviewing comments on other meters, these things (which should be obvious) are entirely dependent on your device's mic. So don't expect results on par with actual Decibel meters.
