SoundMeter: Sound Level Meter

SoundMeter turns your phone microphone into a relative decibel meter for comparing noise at home, at work or in a space you are checking out. Its Classroom mode adds a big traffic-light display that shows a whole room how loud it is.

• A live gauge shows the current level in dB with the session minimum, average and maximum
• A rolling chart plots the last 60 seconds so spikes stand out
• Reference levels from a whisper to a loud concert help you place a reading
• Save named readings with notes to compare rooms or times of day
• A calibration offset of up to ±20 dB lines this phone up with a reference meter
• Share a short reading summary in one tap
• Classroom mode shows a big green, yellow or red noise light with adjustable thresholds and smoothing so it doesn't flicker
• Go full screen to project the light for the whole room; the screen stays on while Classroom mode is open
• An activity timer (5, 10, 15 or 20 minutes, or a custom length) ends with a haptic and on-screen cue
• Session stats count red-zone moments and track the current and best quiet streak

Readings are relative to your phone's microphone and vary by device; they are not calibrated sound pressure levels and are not for hearing or medical use.
