A table in which numbers from 1 to 25 are arranged randomly in a 5x5 square.

It is one of the brain training techniques that appear in the best-selling "Spy School: Are You Sharp Enough to Be a KGB Agent?", a book filled with know-how to improve the memory of intelligence agents whose brains are their weapons.

By fixing your attention on the center of the table, using only your peripheral vision, and repeating the training of finding numbers in order starting from 1, you can train the peripheral vision, attention, concentration, and self-control necessary for memory.

It was originally devised by German psychiatrist and psychotherapist Walter Schulte as a diagnostic test to study attentional characteristics.
