Description

Spotter Tools Pro is a severe weather app for everyone who watches the sky — weather enthusiasts, storm chasers, and trained spotters. Get on-device NEXRAD Level 2 radar, live lightning, satellite, tropical tracking, IBW alerts, live storm chasers, and thousands of live cameras. Spotters and chasers also get Spotter Network reporting, a GPS beacon, and Chaser Mode. No ads, no analytics, no subscription.

★ SPOTTER NETWORK REPORTING, DONE RIGHT
Tornado, funnel cloud, rotating wall cloud, hail, measured wind, flood, flash flood, and damage — each with the exact fields Spotter Network expects (hail size, wind speed + method, narratives). Reports queue offline and auto-upload on reconnect.

★ GPS BEACON
Foreground + background beacon to Spotter Network. Configurable interval, encrypted credentials, auto-restart on boot.

★ NEXRAD LEVEL 2 & TERMINAL RADAR
Live Level 2 decoded on your phone — no third-party tile server. Reflectivity, Velocity, Correlation Coefficient, and Echo Tops at full radial resolution, with elevation-tilt selection, plus Level III storm tracks and mesocyclone rotation. Now includes the full TDWR terminal-radar network — 45 high-res airport Dopplers. 16 built-in .pal color tables (GR format), or import your own.

★ ANIMATED & COMPOSITE RADAR
Loop recent volumes with a transport bar (play, scrub, speed). Pair single-site with a CONUS MRMS mosaic: Base/Composite Reflectivity, Echo Tops, or Surface Precip Type.

★ LIGHTNING, SATELLITE & TROPICAL
Live GOES GLM lightning; GOES-East satellite (Infrared, Water Vapor, Visible) with animation; and NHC tropical layers — areas-to-watch plus named-storm forecast cones, tracks, and intensity.

★ WEATHER MODELS
Overlay HRRR and GFS guidance — reflectivity, temp, wind, CAPE, precip and more — with a time bar and legend.

★ LIVE STORM CHASERS
Watch major chasers stream live from the field via YouTube and Facebook Live, right on the map. Live badges update in real time so you always see who is broadcasting now.

★ LIVE TRAFFIC & SKY CAMERAS
Thousands of DOT traffic cameras across 37 states, plus FAA, Windy, NOAA buoy, USGS volcano, National Park, and ALERTWildfire cameras. Live video where offered, stills elsewhere; fullscreen and facing-aware icons. Choose your sources.

★ SMART PUSH ALERTS
Background NWS warnings with a polygon preview map, even when closed. Three filter modes: Standard, Outbreak, and PDS/Emergency only. Watch zones: current location, home, any city, state, or nationwide. Severe-alert tone, DND override, and an optional full-screen alarm for Tornado Emergency/PDS (Android 14+, off by default). See an estimated population inside each warning polygon.

★ NWS & SPC ON THE MAP
• 50+ NWS warning polygons, individually toggleable

Well they added everything I could think about, the app is definitely professional and contends with the other professional apps out there!
