Description

StormApp è un’applicazione gratuita che ha lo scopo di raccogliere dati sugli effetti e gli impatti degli eventi di mareggiata / acqua alta sui litorali del Nord Adriatico (Veneto e Friuli Venezia Giulia) ed è rivolta a tecnici e ricercatori.

Gli utenti sono invitati a visitare i litorali, in particolare le spiagge, dopo un evento di mareggiata o acqua alta, a scattare delle fotografie delle conseguenze dell’evento e a caricarle sulla app. In questo modo gli utenti forniscono un contributo prezioso al lavoro di ricercatori e tecnici, nell’individuare quali eventi siano stati effettivamente dannosi. Sarà così possibile definire una procedura di allerta per la popolazione che risiede e/o lavora sulle coste, nel caso di previsioni di eventi di mareggiata /acqua alta.

Questa app è stata sviluppata nell’ambito di un accordo di collaborazione tecnico / scientifica tra l’Università degli Studi di Trieste (Dipartimento di Matematica. Informatica e Geoscienze) e del Centro Previsione e Segnalazione Maree del Settore Smart Control Room e Centro Previsione Maree, Direzione Generale del Comune di Venezia.
