Streetbuzz

StreetBuzz is a news and social media mobile app delivering suburb-specific crime alerts, community updates and local news. Designed on the Gold Coast and built in Brisbane, StreetBuzz is an Australian-made platform focused on local communities. It provides a structured and trustworthy alternative to traditional social media and mainstream media, helping residents stay informed and make up their own minds about what’s happening around them.

Stay connected to your suburb with:
Real-time crime alerts and public safety updates
Local community announcements
Lost, found and stolen reports
Suburb-based content filtering
Structured discussions
Reputation scoring via StreetCred

StreetBuzz prioritises relevance, quality content and local awareness. Posts are organised by suburb and category so users can quickly understand what is happening nearby and focus on information that directly affects their community.

By default, users receive alerts and notifications within a set radius around their home suburb. Additional areas can be explored using in-app filters.

StreetBuzz does not replace emergency services. If someone is in immediate danger, call 000.

Built in Australia to support real communities with better local awareness.
