Summarize.free: AI Summarizer

Summarize.free is an AI summarizer for everything you read and watch. Paste text, share an article or a YouTube video, open a PDF or Word document, or scan a printed page, and get a clear summary in your language: a quick TL;DR, the key points as a list, or a detailed summary with sections.

SUMMARIZE TEXT
Paste or type any text: notes, emails, reports, essays, terms and conditions, research. Select text in any app and choose "Summarize" from the menu, or share it straight into the app.

ARTICLE SUMMARIZER
Share a web page from your browser, or paste its link. Summarize.free reads the article and gives you the main points, so you know what it says before you decide to read it all.

YOUTUBE VIDEO SUMMARY
Share a video from the YouTube app or paste its link to get a summary of what is said in it. With a free account you can also get chapter summaries, one short summary for each part of the video, and tap a chapter to jump to that moment. Videos without captions can be transcribed for you, and a notification tells you when the summary is ready.

SUMMARIZE PDF AND WORD DOCUMENTS
Open a PDF, a Word file (.docx) or a text file. Documents are read on your phone and only their text is summarized. Scanned PDFs are read with text recognition on your phone.

SCAN AND SUMMARIZE PRINTED PAGES
Point the camera at a book page, a handout, a letter or a contract with the document scanner, or pick a photo. Text recognition runs on your phone, you can check and correct the text, then summarize it.

CHOOSE THE LENGTH
• TL;DR: the gist in a few sentences.
• Key points: the main ideas as a bullet list.
• Detailed: a fuller summary with headings.
• Chapters: a summary of each part of a YouTube video.
Not the length you wanted? Summarize the same text again at another length with one tap.

SUMMARIES IN YOUR LANGUAGE
The summary is written in the language your phone uses, even when the article, document or video is in another language. Useful for reading foreign news, studying sources in other languages and understanding videos you would not otherwise follow.

HISTORY, OFFLINE
Every summary is saved on your phone with its source, searchable and readable offline. Copy a summary, share it, or save it as a text file or a PDF made on your phone.

USE IT FOR
• Students: summarize textbook chapters, papers and lecture videos, and turn notes into key points for revision.
• Work: get the point of long reports, meeting documents, contracts and email threads.
• News and research: summarize articles and long reads before you dive in.
• Video: get the content of long talks, podcasts on YouTube, tutorials and lectures without watching the whole thing.

FREE TO USE, PRO WHEN YOU NEED MORE
Summarize without an account within a daily allowance. A free account adds more summaries a day, longer texts, chapter summaries and transcription of videos without captions. Summarize.free Pro, available in the app through Google Play, summarizes very long documents and videos in one go with no daily limit for normal use, and the same Pro works on the website when you sign in there. The app shows the current limits for your account.

PRIVACY
• Documents and photos stay on your phone. Only the text you choose to summarize, or the link you share, is sent.
• No tracking or analytics SDKs.
• Create an account, sign in and delete your account from inside the app.

AI-generated summaries can miss details or get things wrong, so check important facts against the original. If a summary looks wrong or inappropriate, tap Report this summary.
