I am updating my review now that the app has been updated as well. When I originally wrote my review, the check scanning feature was not working and caused much frustration for me. It has since been updated and the scan feature is AMAZING. It is the best I've seen on a bank app. It is able to take a picture of checks in less than 1 second. I am also impressed with SVB's consideration of its customers. Once the app was fixed, I was sent an email informing me and letting me know they took my review into consideration. I was very happy with this acknowledgement and am happy to now update my review to say that the app works great!

Poor check deposit UI, doesn't work, unclear process. Online banking also poorly designed. Shocking tech for 'SVB'. User feedback here should be leveraged for prod design.

I really only use the app for check deposits and with the latest update the app crashes every time I try to take the pictures.

The mobile check deposit is really the only reason I downloaded. That functionality doesn't work very well with handwritten or even printed checks. When you call support they will ask you to mail in the checks. Not a viable mobile banking app.
