Used the previous app before it was updated, and it was a solid 3/5, it did not have many of the new features like the native Reddit app so you kind of missed out on stuff like gifs and images in comments, etc. but this has been reflected with the newest update and it's so much better!

Have been a long time user of Sync and I really like the UI. Unfortunately a recent update has pushed the adds to a new, and frustrating, level. Previously adds were along the bottom of the screen and relatively infrequent, now adds are mixed into the feed at a much higher frequency. The new adds are larger and often just touching the screen to scroll down will click through to the product. Worse still there are full pages adds that appear and block the app when starting. Can't recommend now.

I've used Sync for years, but the recent overhaul has forced me to uninstall and never look back. It's one thing to have banner ads along the bottom. It's another to have full screen ads when launching the app. But now the banner ads are clicking themselves, redirecting me to the Play Store to download random apps. Disgusting deceitful practices to force click through on ads and make the dev more money. This has ensured I'm done with Sync for good.
