synff: Explore Albums Weekly

Find music that means more to you.

You can listen to almost anything. Finding an album that stays with you is harder. synff is an album-first music discovery app for people who want to explore beyond the usual feed, understand what moves them, and make their taste their own.

Start with artists you love. When you're ready for something new to you, request a Drop: six albums chosen with your taste in mind. Each recommendation comes with a reason to listen. Spend time with one record or all six; your Drop stays until you're ready to move on.

Discover music with a reason to listen
• Keep a Rotation of artists that matter to you. They give your album recommendations a starting point, and you can change them as your listening grows.
• Explore the stories behind a record and follow connections between artists. A new album can lead you toward a whole musical world.
• Search for artists and albums, identify a song playing nearby with Listen, or scan a record you've found.

Put your response into words
• Leave a note while an album is still with you. You don't need to write a review or give it a score; a few honest words are enough.
• Return at Recap to reflect on your Drop. Mark what you liked, loved, bought, didn't get to, or decided wasn't for you. Those confirmed choices help shape future music recommendations.
• Watch your Fingerprint develop as you respond to more records. It makes the patterns in your music taste visible, including what keeps drawing you back.

Keep the records you own
Crate brings your physical album collection together. Add a record when you buy it, search for a copy of one you want to own, or import matched records from Discogs. Your Crate is about the albums on your shelf, not another playlist to manage.

Follow the vibe
Supporter adds Vibe Finder, an album-led way to follow curiosity. Begin with a record that interests you, describe the feeling or sound you want to explore, and discover another album that takes you somewhere unexpected.

A Drop isn't a daily demand on your attention. One future Drop credit returns each Monday until your account is full. Free accounts can hold one future credit and Supporter accounts can hold four. You can keep your current Drop as long as you like. The core discovery, notes, Recap, Fingerprint, and Crate experience remains available without Supporter.

Listen in your preferred service. synff links to music there without playing it in the app or accessing your listening account.

No in-app ads to remove. We don't sell your personal data or give advertisers access to your taste. Music discovery should help you hear more of what matters to you, on your terms.

Recent changes:
synff 2.0 gives you more room to listen closely. Request a Drop of six albums chosen with your taste in mind, then take as long as you like with them. Each record comes with a reason to listen. Leave a note while the feeling is fresh; return to Recap to shape future Drops. Fingerprint reveals patterns in your taste.

Supporter is new, too. Follow a feeling from a record with Vibe Finder, and hold up to four future Drop credits. The core discovery and reflection experience remains free.
