Great way for connecting tango dancers all around the world, as well as keeping up to date with all kinds of tango related events

It is only the second time I leave a review for an app, but this is totally worth it. That's the first tango app that really achieves the purpose of helping tango dancers never feel alone again. I loved that it is focused only on the tango community and all its language is tango oriented (you don't even send invitations, you send "cabécou"!!!) It is great to be able to meet tango friends wherever I travel, even if it is not always in order to go to a Ilona. I get to go out for coffee, ask for help in the city, and simply know there is someone around that can help if I need him/her. And of course, there is nothing better than getting to find a local Ilona based on recommendations of the locals and go there with them.

Shame it didn't work properly Shame it's really old-fashioned...you have to choose male or female partner, no other options or just show you who's on the ap, and you have to give your age. Then I still couldn't see who's on the app or if anyone is in my area. There's a fee for further access whatever that means makes you give your email address got fed up and uninstalled

Seems very hetero-normative and tying dancing to "traditional" read hetero-normative gender roles. Also, not happy with it demanding access to my Facebook account - those sideway authorizations are quite a vulnerability. Hence, I didn't even get started with the app, which is also a bit of a bummer.

Update: Broken again. It remembered my location as a random city I don't live in anymore, deleting and making a new account is impossible, as registering throws some error about multipart body. Truly amazing how an app can be so broken across so many phones for so many years.

I have installed the app, filled up the required info (name, leader, pic, etc.), yet I couldn't find what would be the next step(there was/is no next click/step). I removed it and reinstalled again, but I still have the same problem. I'm sorry for giving one star ⭐ 😔
