Comments on Temp Stick for Android

★★★★★ This is the only system I could find that supplies local temperature and humidity readings to a phone without an ongoing subscription fee. It also offers automatic alerts for conditions that the user can set up. The application is simple to set up and use, and gives latest readings and a nice selection of graphs of the recent past instantly upon opening. The worst thing I can say about this application is that it gives times only in the confusing am/pm system, with no option for the nice, simple 24-hour format of time. Apparently, one can also get similar readings from a Web browser, but I prefer this application. It works with the Temp Stick hardware. This hardware is also easy to set up, and requires no installation except that, because it is not weather-tight, if used outdoors it requires shelter from precipitation.

★★★★★ I've been using Temp Stick for a few years. I keep a sensor out in our well house during the winter to monitor temperature and humidity. Anytime the temperature drops below my set target I get an alert. When I'm away from home I can keep tracking just to make sure the well pipe isn't freezing. It also lets me know that the heating system in the well house is working.

★★☆☆☆ Expensive connection problem plaqued devices displayed on a totally black screen. Zero stars for any app that requires Guggle Play to be enabled just to open the app. Also, sticks need to log date & time for each device in the timezone where each is located. Makes no sense for my other devices around the world to log using only the timezone set in the app.

★★☆☆☆ Was 5 stars and now it's useless. Blank white/black screen, that's all it shows. Works fine on iOS, your server is broken

★★☆☆☆ We installed temp stick for our vacation home in Florida. It goes offline and does not come back on. I would give it zero stars if I could. Customer support says I have to be there to get it back online. All the other devices on Wi-Fi work ok, ring cameras etc. Don't waste your money. When it worked for the first two weeks it was good. Totally unreliable for a vacation home.

★★☆☆☆ Latest update has broken the app in the past couple weeks. Just opens to a black screen and nothing happens. Samsung Fold 7 running Android 16. Have used this with my 3 temp sticks for years, and no issues in the past. Tried uninstalling, and reinstalled multiple times, with no resolution. Please fix this issue. Thanks.
