PERMISSIONS & DEVICE SETTINGS

Messages keeps its core messaging tools accessible when optional permissions are skipped. You can choose Not now or Deny for optional requests and review your choices later in Android Settings.

• Notifications (Optional): Receive alerts for incoming messages when enabled.
• Phone / After-call Extras (Optional): Access additional after-call actions where supported. These features are separate from core SMS messaging.
• Display Over Other Apps (Optional): Allow supported after-call interface elements to appear over other apps. You can revoke this access through Android Settings.
• Home-screen Launcher: The app includes a launcher for convenient access. Choosing it as your default Home app is optional. You can keep your current launcher or change your selection later through Android Settings → Home app.
