Comments on The Globe and Mail for Android

Content are well written, need a widget for news. Cbc have one, Reuters have one, ap and ft both have those. Edit: offline function will be nice as well. (Which is also seen from other new apps like ft and reuters)

★★★★★ Barbara Kimmitt · Apr 5, 2026

I think it's very important to support a reliable news source. The Globe offers excellent objective journalism covering world events. It also has consistently relevant and interesting opinion pieces, business news, and arts and culture articles.

★★★★★ Brian Matheson · Jan 15, 2026

One of a few go to apps for Canadian and International news and insight. I know they're balanced in reporting and views as I do NOT always agree with things I read. Intelligent reporting lives here.

★☆☆☆☆ Jason Holloway · Nov 15, 2024

This is getting ridiculous. Cannot log into the app on any of my devices. Time to cancel my subscription.

★☆☆☆☆ Darlene Ciemitis · May 22, 2025

Don't bother installing the app!!! You still need to pay a subscription price, if not they don't let you read the article you went to look for, They block it! The app shouldn't demand a paid subscription as they have Several Ads on the app That Pays Them, They just want to take money from both ends 🤨 You may as well just Google the story you'd like to read about. Other than that I really don't mind The Globe & Mail news, which seems to have a variety of news articles.
