Great that Guardian Editions has moved to full -newspaper view (Press Reader format), so much better way to see the news than the older version. It works very well on my mobile and tablet.

The updated app is even more like reading a daily newspaper. It takes a while to learn to use the functionality, and it's certainly very clever, but for me, it's more than I need. You can still get the functionality of the previous version, but you cannot share stories which for me is a drawback that negates the fancy new bits. I like seeing the weather charts etc. but could do without the ads.

I can honestly say this app is seriously making me cancel my subscription. I neither want nor need print layout. Scrolling through an article can lead back to print but not where you are. Articles are duplicated or truncated. Some articles don't appear unless you go back through print edition. No sharing available. It takes too long to download editions and, on occasions, like today, the internal links don't work. Finally, when I try to pass information back to the Guardian I get no response.

Unusable on phone. Impossible to navigate to articles. Jumps around unpredictably. Shame as the previous version was a joy to use. This is a subscription cancelling change

I loved the old Editions and I can't stand the new version after it was moved to Press reader. The previous version was easy to read on mobile or tablet and the new version is almost unusable on mobile. Article view is buggy, unreliable, and often full of formatting errors. Press reader is an ugly, awkward platform, so it's a shame the Guardian decided to go this route rather than keep their in-house design for Editions.
