Comments on The Guardian - US & World News for Android

★★★★★ Zara Kingsbury Hale · Jul 11, 2026

I love the Guardian app. I can easily follow quality news coverage from around the world including mine and my husband's home countries. I also feel like I am doing my bit to enable and sustain quality, independent journalism and investigation. Plus the puzzles are fun! 💖

★★★★☆ Mark Burton · Aug 16, 2026

Here's an idea, it would be good if when using the crossword archive it would take you back to the same place in the list of crosswords when you finish and go back having completed a crossword rather than going to the most recent crosswords every time

★☆☆☆☆ Oliver Roberts-Holmes · Aug 16, 2026

The crossword update is miserable. Why would you change the keyboard to a bespoke one just for crosswords... hopeless do better.

★☆☆☆☆ James Holt · Aug 3, 2026

Great source of news, but the subscription is overpriced. I wish it was cheaper, so more people would have access to objective journalism.

★☆☆☆☆ James · Aug 4, 2026

20 articles a month? Show adverts if you must but locking out the free service after 20 articles makes this app pointless now for non subscribers. I'll just use the website now.

★★☆☆☆ David Todd · Aug 17, 2026

The Crossword interface is now unusable on a tablet. To get back to the (pre-August update) usable interface I have to uninstall then reinstall the app (and lose my history of completed crosswords) Obviously not a solution, please can you go back to the pre-August Crossword layout.
