Beautiful art and an engaging story. I'm not familiar with Red wall at all but this game does a wonderful job introducing the player to its world. 3 free candles a day is just enough to read a little over a chapter, I've found, which I think is good for light readers. I'll definitely be looking into other Red wall games after this!

This is a book, not a game.....it's an interactive book with just tapping to turn pages...while choosing small action options that don't make it even remotely interesting unless you're some kid learning to read.

It was fun at first, but then you get to a point where you can't really progress unless you watch ads. Even then the progression is minimal. So unless you are willing to pay up to even get halfway through the game I'd pass. The story is good, but I'd suggest some more options. EX.discussion with the Abbott about the scroll... They could give the scroll to the cats and just repair/block the secret entrance. Destroy the stairs even? I might consider re-installing once these issues are addressed.

My original rating was 3 stars, but apparently my review was deleted. Candles don't regenerate, not even daily, so you have to pay or watch ads. Your choices don't matter, and the game acts like you didn't even make certain choices: causing a disjointed, confusing time. Very disappointing due to poor game mechanics. The writing is pretty decent, however, so fans might enjoy that if they can ignore all the flaws.
