Listening to the Lent app was the most meaningful Lent I ever had. I recommended it to everyone in my circle. We just lost our oldest son to cancer and each day I felt permission to be sad and heartbroken and felt seen in the words and sentiments. Great sadness can lead to great hope. A beautiful set of heartfelt, sincere, Christian devotionals, many free, in Emily P. Freeman's soothing voice. I was first introduced to Emily via a gift of her Quiet Collection for Advent many years ago, and I now have all her collections, her two books --can't recommend her or this collection enough if you want spiritual direction or just what feels like the most gentle, comforting friend sharing her usually profound thoughts with you.
