Comments on The State News: South Carolina for Android

The State Newspaper content is much improved. The videos are annoying. Many have ads that are longer than the video. Some just won't load.

★★★★★ Sammie Gary · Feb 20, 2026

Good app been using this app for years. Never had a problem except navigation for obituaries. Love it

★☆☆☆☆ Ernie Corley · Jun 22, 2024

The update is horrible. The edition went from being easy to navigate and read to an absolute mess. I can't believe I actually paid for a subscription to this garbage

★☆☆☆☆ Richard Gleissner · Oct 9, 2019

They "updated" the e-edition. In the "update", they made it impossible to read any of the articles or view any of the special features, like the puzzles, cartoons, opinions, sports articles, etc. Thus, the e-edition is now completely unusable. There is no reason to pay money to the State News for this now worthless product. You can get all of your news elsewhere and without cost.

★☆☆☆☆ Jack Herndon · Nov 26, 2020

Sucks Reaccuring billing i didn't know about you got me for 2 months I had no idea that this was reaccuring. I think that I should get fill refund period.

★☆☆☆☆ BRUCE P · Aug 15, 2021

Unless they return obits as something to browse, I will not renew my subscription. Unusable.
