Comments on Thorntons Recycling for Android

★★★★☆ Jake Blues · Mar 1, 2021

Updating my last review. Previously I rated this app quite low as I didn't like the new payment option. It appeared you could only pay in pre-defined increments, however, after clicking on the help link in the app it explains how to enter a custom value for the payment. I think it would be good if it could be made more obvious that you can click on the amount in the middle of the slider wheel to enter a manual amount. Reminder notifications are still hit-and-miss.

★★★★★ Anthony Warburton · Nov 19, 2016

Anthony Barberton It's a great app it works all the time no problem with it. I would like text alerts sent to my phone a day before the bin is due.

★★★★☆ Martynas “Marcialas” Palsys · May 9, 2022

Overall good and simple app. I am missing just 1 feature to make it to 5 stars, panda has it, in your bin collection history amount charged per lift.

★★★★★ Paul O brien · Jul 31, 2026

Customer service is second to none, Leanne had my issue resolved in 2 minutes, other companies could learn and thing or two from Thornton customer service

★★☆☆☆ Cathy Rooney · Jan 5, 2017

Not working App won't let me make a payment or view history and the account balance was wrong

★★☆☆☆ Fran Murphy · Apr 5, 2016

Doesn't do much Just has calendar and account balance. Sends you to the website to see any account details, so it is pointless really!

★☆☆☆☆ Ciarán Moloney · Dec 12, 2019

As many of the reviewers have said, the notifications do not pop up on your phone the day before scheduled bin collection, therefore rendering this app pointless. I have deleted this app and have entered the bin collection dates on my Google Calendar - far more reliable reminders.
