Throwline Wheel-throw

Throwline is an offline-first wheel-throwing practice log for studio potters who work one named throw at a time. Cold start opens a fullscreen pot-profile: a large vessel silhouette for the active throw with editable height, rim width, belly, and foot marks, plus live ball-weight and height-per-pound readouts. Log clay body, wet ball weight, thrown dimensions, and trimmed weight, then enter dry and fired sizes. The sheet computes shrinkage percent and charts height-per-pound progress across sessions so you tighten consistency—without a generic notes list. POT-PROFILE SURFACE Vertical vessel silhouette bound to the active throw. Drag or type height, rim width, max belly, and foot diameter markers with live mm/in display. WET THROW & TRIM Capture clay body name, cone target, ball weight, centering notes, and thrown height/rim before you leave the wheel. Add trimmed weight, foot finish, wall thinness, and optional lid or handle flags on the same profile. SHRINKAGE & PROGRESS Enter dry and fired sizes for automatic wet→dry and dry→fired shrinkage on height and rim. A rolling height-per-pound strip charts thrown height divided by ball weight across recent throws for the selected clay body. CLAY BODIES & TEMPLATES Seed library for stoneware, porcelain, and earthenware with typical shrinkage hints and preferred ball-weight ranges. Form templates (cylinder, bowl, mug, bottle, plate) pre-shape guides without locking free measurement. HISTORY, COMPARE & SHARE Filter throw history by clay body, form template, and date; reopen any throw on the pot-profile in one tap. Side-by-side compare two throws on the same clay to spot rim and height drift. Share a local plain-text session summary (dimensions, weights, shrinkage)—no account required. See every throw as a living pot profile. Built for the wheel, not a blank journal.
