Very helpful for getting around Barcelona while visiting!

Absolutely useless. Nightmare to set up. Used it once to tap on a bus then it crashed and wouldn't work. Tried all the usual troubleshooting. Ordered physical card and this now won't pair to the app. 8 months in Barcelona and I'm still using paper tickets. Lived in many countries. So far behind here.
★☆☆☆☆Anthony Buczek· Aug 21, 2026
This app, like the ticketing system for the Barcelona Metro overall, is flipping useless, frustrating, and downright awful. It's too bad since the trains are great. After 2 days of waiting in long lines at slow ticket machines to pay inflated prices for short rides, we realized taxis are both cheaper and faster and gave up on the Metro entirely. They seem to want to prohibit (or maybe just shakedown) visitors. Having ridden many transit systems around the world, this one was very disappointing.

No use for tourists. Can't buy tickets. A separate ticket app is needed, and you may even have to get a physical card.
