Description
With ToteScan you can easily itemize your storage totes and containers to help you quickly find the things you need. ToteScan works by scanning official ToteScan labels that are available for purchase either in-app (to be downloaded and printed), or through an online retailer to ship to you directly (peel and stick ready to go).
The ToteScan labels are individually connected with your account, and by affixing them to your totes and containers, you can easily scan and add items that you place into the containers. Once entered, you can use the built-in text search capability to find totes by name, individual item name, description, or keyword.
ToteScan supports family sharing with the ability to add profiles to the account for individuals to keep separate collections, but still be within the same account.
Additional ToteScan labels can be purchased in-app and digitally delivered to you by email link. You can then print them on basic paper, cut them out, and tape to your totes and containers. Or you can choose to buy pre-printed ready to peel and stick ToteScan labels and have them shipped to you.

I found Tote Scan while looking for a replacement for Duck Pack & Track. Tote Scan is exactly what I needed. I love that I can pay for the labels and immediately print them myself - very convenient. Currently, using it as I get ready to move, and I like knowing that I won't have to dig through multiple boxes if I need something specific before I unpack. The only improvement I would like would be the ability to add multiple items at once. It can be a bit tedious adding a lot of items one at a time.

Pretty good app. Makes organizing easy. I ordered labels from Amazon but in the meantime I ordered the printout ones within the app. I'd like to see pictures of my totes on the main screen. I got Alexa skill working, you have to ask her in a very specific way. "Alexa open tote scan" (welcome to tote scan what can I help you find) at this point you can't just list an item, you have to say "Find shoes" or whatever item. If you just say "Shoes" she will say she can't help you with that.

After a week, I'm a big fan so far. There are things I feel are currently missing though. 1. Being able to label what type of storage container it is (box, tote, drawer, etc.) 2. Being able to take a picture of the container itself. 3. Allow sub locations (left, right, custom, etc.). Places like storage and garages get full, it would be nice to see the general area you should begin and what you're looking for rather than hunt through labels trying to find it. Otherwise, it's been pretty good!

To set up the account you need to enter your email, then access your email to get the access code, however when you open your email it starts you over at enter your email. Then the code you just received doesn't work because it already issued another code. Unless you have multiple devices to access your email it doesn't work.

It's not clear that you need to purchase their labels for this to work. The UI is very unpolished, with unreadable text in most screens.
