Description
TOXBASE® is the clinical toxicology database of the UK National Poisons Information Service, providing advice on the features and management of poisoning. Monographs are designed to be used by healthcare professionals involved in the management of poisoned patients.
TOXBASE is freely available for users who are able to register using an NHS, MOD, ac.uk or UKHSA domain email address.

How the app works After download, users complete a registration form and receive an email containing a verification link. Once verified users will be able to use their login for the TOXBASE app and also for TOXBASE online at www.toxbase.org
Account renewal is required annually.

I'm a 999 telephone triage paramedic & find TOXBASE easy to use. Gain patients weight & amount taken i.e. 90 kg & 8000 mg paracetamol. Use the calculator to obtain dose per kg. This example 88 mg/kg. Search for the item taken (not just meds are there i.e. detergents). You get an overview, symptoms, TOXIC DOSE & treatment. They have antidotes info too. Call them if unsure, they will take your details & give advice. Early in my career I called about inhalation of fumes from a leaking fridge.

Impossible to set up Register my details, don't get a confirmation email via my work email, which is correct. Until that happens, I can't log in. Tried at least three times, different usernames. Given up trying.

Verified accredited details, still no access to the appropriate poisons and antidotes sections but seem to be able to get the information tab and upgrade tab! Very frustrating, the download information has been used in the recent NPAS annual review, but there was no mention of how many users couldn't access information, a potentially great app ruined by functionality.

Despite double and triple checking that I'm putting in the correct username and password, app still says it's wrong. Can log in to the website with the same login details no problem but unable to login in on the app.

Utterly useless. Registered with my nhs email address and could access no relevant information at all
