I've been using Trace Snow for years. It works great on my S8.

Works perfect on new phone. Allow app to always use gps in android settings. This app won't work on most older phones due to GPS clocks being reset in 2019 etc and this app also hasn't been updated in 3 years which is a good thing, because no ads I've seen! I've used this app for over around 7 years. I tried ski tracker but need to watch 60 sec ad to see history. If app doesn't work just get a new phone, ur life matters. They are 10x faster and better than 5 years ago. That $1000+ is worth it!

It used to be a great app untill 2019. Now it wont even upload session data. Occasionly says the session was to short when you've been recording all day. Either way, its funtionality is shot. Damn shame it was a great app. Unfortunately I have to give it 1 star with this current state of affairs.

Was working great then all of a sudden three weekends ago the app showed it was recording but when I went to submit said there was no data. Have tried reinstalling, restarting phone, restarting data recording.... nothing works. And no more option to recover lost data. Three ski days in a row.

This app worked fine last year, but this year it is missing about half the runs I do. It just gives a message that there is no session data to upload. It's isn't an issue with GPS or 4G because it worked fine in the same resort last season on the same phone. Disappointing - I would recommend you try something else. I am.
