The app is a waste, it doesn't work, also why does it want access to my photos and files??

Not working When the app opens it just has a picture of the school with the logo and nothing else. There is no menu or anything to click onto. It's literally just a picture. No change after uninstalling and reinstalling. Also, why the hell is a school app looking fir permission to our photos and files on our phone??
