Trust Bio: Forestry & Wildlife

Trust Bio brings wildlife and flora surveys together with forest inventory in one fieldwork app. Organize projects, campaigns, sampling points and teams. Record observations with location data, then review them on your phone or in the web platform.

Wildlife and flora
Create biological survey campaigns and record species at sampling points or during field sessions. Add photos and GPS coordinates to observations. Record vocalizations for wildlife; for flora, view herbarium images when published specimens are available. Search installed species catalogs by scientific or common name.

Forest inventory
Record trees and plots in your project. Enter trunk circumference and diameter, tree height, stems, condition, GPS coordinates and photos. View sampling points on the project map as you work through your inventory.

Prepare for fieldwork
Download FaunaPacks by wildlife group and FloraPacks by biome before you lose signal. Search the installed catalogs without an internet connection. Download the map for your project area in advance, too. Field records are saved on your device without a continuous connection. When you are back online, sync your work and check the transfer status.

Maps, teams and exports
Explore georeferenced observations and details for each point on the project map. Organize work by campaign and view project team members. Export campaign data as CSV or GeoJSON to share files or continue your analysis in other tools. Review synced projects and observations in the Trust Bio web dashboard.

Field tools
The GPS panel shows coordinates, altitude, speed, estimated accuracy and a history of readings. A Morse signal tool flashes SOS and short messages with the phone's flashlight or screen. An offline first aid guide covers 11 emergency topics for quick reference, including venomous animal encounters, burns, fractures and CPR. Light signals must be seen by someone to help; the guide does not replace professional medical care.

Also on the web platform
Beyond the app's field records, the Trust Bio web platform lets you search herbarium specimens and explore environmental permits published in public databases. Coverage varies by source, region and species. These web searches require an internet connection.

Built for biologists, foresters, environmental consultants and field teams working on biodiversity surveys, tree inventories and environmental studies.

Recent changes:
A renewed Forestry, Fauna and Flora field collection experience. Save projects, campaigns and records offline; download maps and species catalogs before fieldwork, and follow sync progress. We also updated the icon and improved First Aid guidance and flashlight SOS.
