Great app. SD card can be accessed on Android 10 using the "Storage Access Framework" option. Haven't updated to 11 on my phone yet (Pixel 3 XL) but I do not use a SD card. But, to give 1 star for an older, open source, app makes the reviewer an idiot. Eat paint, for real.

Despite not being updated for years, this is still the best ad-free text editor. The most important thing is to enable the "storage access framework" setting to use the SD card. Also, those who use the sideways swipe gestures for the back button will be occasionally unable to access the main menu since it requires swiping from the left edge. However, this is a minor annoyance and the rest of the features, including the lightning fast speed and quick access to recent files still work beautifully.

You changed it. Last year it was great. This year, it doesn't work. Why'd you change it? Change it BACK. We used to be able to open Android package files & now we cannot! You open it and there is nothing there. It IS there but, for some reason or another Text Editor isn't showing that anything is there! Why? Other editors open the file and file directory branches. Yours has changed.

This used to be the best ad-free text editor. Its features and lightning fast speed worked beautifully. However, it seems to be incompatible with the latest version (Android 11 on a Samsung F22) and displays odd and unpredictable behavior while editing text files. For eg, deleting text and then saving the file seems to succeed, but the text is right back when you next open the file. Text also seems to randomly get added to the end of the file, making the app useless.
