Content on this app is excellent. But playback control is erratic via Chromecast to the TV - I have to use the Google controls, which are very limited - but I still use the app almost every day because there's so much good content. It's a really useful resource for anyone trying to improve their French comprehension.

I really like the news and programs on TV5Monde. The audio volume one the app, however, is to quite, even on maximum phone volume. My other apps do not have this problem, so it seems to be isolated to TV5Monde app or the video feed it is playing. Please increase the audio volume on your videos. Many thanks!

The app went through some updates over the past few years. It now works well. I now give it 4.5 stars because I can't cast the videos to my Roku TV, I can only cast to my speakers. But otherwise it's actually very nice compared to how it was 4 years ago.

Chromecast is still very flakey. You have to start playing a program on your mobile to select Cast to Chromecast. The program still runs on your mobile and then starts on the device you're casting to - both together at different times! Also casting stops if you turn your mobile screen off. Affreux!

I'm in the UK and believe some French content should be available, but all I get is a pop-up message which says, "To get the most out of the TV5MONDE video experience, we need to know your location. Please activate your phone's location service." But my location IS switched on. The app DOES have permission to access the location. I just don't understand why it continues to show the message. I'll keep the app installed for a few weeks in the hope it gets fixed.
