Request a twist from someone! If someone is coming to meet you, use the "Request a Twist" feature! After selecting your destination and recipients, hit the "Send Request" button. Your recipients will then be sent a notification requesting them to twist you!
Make shortcuts for your favorite twists! If you find that you twist the same person and destination regularly, you can add this twist to your favorites. That way, when you embark on your journey you can create the twist faster instead of having to enter in all the information again!
Twists are totally private! The twist keeps track of your location only when you start the twist, and it stops monitoring you a few minutes after you arrive. Only your recipients will be alerted about your progress.
Change your mode of transportation! Options include car, public transportation, walking or biking!

Great app for meeting up Twist makes it easy to let people know I'm on my way. The app's still new, so there are some rough edges when you're not going directly to your destination, which is why this isn't 5 stars, but they seem very attentive to feedback.

Remove the uncertainty Twist is a new app that takes away the anxiety of not knowing when someone will show up to meet you. All you have to do is plug in the destination and the method of travel, and you'll get notifications of how long the trip will take, when someone has begun the journey, and when they've arrived. Interestingly, the app doesn't use your GPS to track you, relying instead on triangulation from cell towers. This makes it easier on your phone's battery and provides pretty good location service. I couldn't seem to add the recipient of my choice from my contacts list, however, which I'm sure will be addressed in a future patch; that's too important a feature to leave unresolved. cumbersome I love the idea. And some of it works quite well. Here are my gripes: * UI is unresponsive and cumbersome * I can't figure out how to leave the app, it seems to wait for a GPS lock, which it will never get when I'm in a building * It does not end Twists on arrival, it takes three tabs (and the wait in between) to end a twist * Messages about having notified people stay forever int eh notification screen, instead of self delete when one has arrived or ended the Twist * The short cut feature (on the home screen) is of little help. Still requires to start the Twist * Phone book search is loooow and works marginally, when it should be fast and a good default hit Enough for now. Less features or optional features, such as showing me a map, would hopefully make it faster. Twist team be not discouraged, the idea is great, it just needs real focus and polish.
