Vattenfall provides a good service for in my case electricity. I had no trouble with them. Their app is easy and convenient to use to put the meter readings into which I liked doing. I would only suggest they make their app also in english for people who don't quite know enough German. All in all, a very good service.

This is most definitely broken app. Can't even register my contract in the app, and then never receive any explanation why the electricity cost continues to increase every year in the post or email for 8 years. Switching to another provider.

The login flow is broken after the last update. I was automatically signed out and stuck on the Firebase Analysis screen: both buttons were just "spinning" on press, but nothing happens.

Does not accept non-German IBANs, even though they are part of the SEPA area. I had to change my contract, and it won't let me use the existing IBAN I have been paying from for 2 years. It makes you type the IBAN again, and then has the audacity to tell you it is wrong. It is not. My IBAN is part of the SEPA area, and it is therefore illegal to discriminate against it and force consumers to open a German bank.
