Description
The Vibio bed shaker app is a companion app to the Bellman & Symfon Vibio bed shaker product (BE1221). This application uses Bluetooth to connect to the Vibio bed shaker. It stores and manages wakeup alarms and forwards notifications of phone calls and SMS to the bed shaker. Vibio is equipped with a very silent and powerful vibrator that wakes you without disturbing others. It’s an ideal portable notifications device for users in need of augmented tactile feedback. It fits well in any difficult hearing situation, for instance when the user is wearing earplugs, for shift workers, heavy sleepers, dorm students and for deaf and hearing impaired people.
The Vibio App requires users to authorize call and SMS permissions. Privacy data is not saved nor logged and is solely used to fulfill the core function of the Vibio companion app as described below.

Much faster connection to phone after last update. You should add option for custom choosing apps for notifications, sms is archaic and almost nobody uses it anymore.

Simple app to program the Vi bio device to buzz at certain times. I've only downloaded it for a few minutes to set up my Vi bio, so I don't have a full idea of it yet. I do appreciate that it's a super simple interface: just setting the alarm or turning existing alarms off and on. I have some minor annoyances and wishes with it but overall this app seems dependable and easy to use.

Leaves much to be desired. Feels like trial software. While the device works great and I love the device itself, the app is very, very limited. I don't see why the limit of alarms is so low. I have a very weird schedule that the limit of the alarms is limited. I have to constantly turn on and off alarms rather than set and forget. It's also cumbersome to set the times by spinning the dials. Come on, it should be simple enough to type the time in without having to scroll through the dials.

Was great at first, but now it constantly asks for access to my notifications. I work shifts and disabled access to my messages and notifications for a reason. STOP ASKING FOR ACCESS TO MY NOTIFICATIONS, YOU HAVE NO REASON FOR IT, JUST BE AN ALARM CLOCK LIKE INTENDED!!!

As someone who just underwent a cochlear implant and gave up the rest of my natural hearing, this bed shaker is incredibly promising. I have two major issues with the overly basic app. There is no way to set a maximum snooze and there is no challenge feature to stop the alarm, which would ideally be a math problem. Without these options, there's no benefit to this Bluetooth setup vs a clock with connected shaker. Please, please, please add these features and this is easily a 5-star app
