Description by Sapiest Dev(from Google Play)
Video too large to send? Video Compressor reduces the space it takes up and saves the result as a separate H.264 MP4 file. The original stays untouched. This video size reducer runs on your Android device, so you don't need to upload a recording to compress it.
Compress video for sharing
Choose a recording from your phone or share one to the app from another app. You can compress video with the Smaller, Balanced, or Better Quality setting, or enter a target file size in MB to work toward an attachment or upload limit.
Keep the original resolution or choose 1080p, 720p, or 480p. Keep the audio if its format is supported, or mute the video. Watch the progress while the app works; you can cancel the task when needed.
The size shown before you start is an estimate. The finished file may be larger or smaller depending on the recording's length, movement, sound, resolution, and your phone's encoder. If it falls too far outside the requested range, the app can try once more with adjusted settings. It checks the finished file before showing the result; a specific number of MB is not guaranteed.
Reduce video size, then check the picture
A smaller video file is easier to send in a message or attach to an online form. But file size isn't the only thing to check: play the result and see whether the picture still suits your needs. You can compare the sizes of both files, check the output resolution, and see how close the result is to the size you requested.
Need to reduce video size further? Keep the original so you can try different settings without starting from an already compressed recording. The app never deletes the original for you.
An MP4 compressor that keeps the original
The app saves compressed recordings as H.264 MP4 files. Use it to compress MP4 recordings for sharing or to take up less space on your phone, rather than to convert between unrelated formats. The MP4 compressor saves the result separately, leaving you to decide which version to keep.
You can save automatically to Movies/Video Compressor or choose another folder. Open a finished recording from the app's history, share it with another app, or save an additional copy to Downloads. For another version, open the original in the video file compressor and choose different settings.
Local compression and your privacy
Your recordings stay on your device during local compression. They aren't uploaded to our servers for processing. Product analytics do not include video content, individual frames, thumbnails, filenames, file paths, or media metadata.
Ads in the free version and optional anonymous diagnostics may use the internet. Your recording is not uploaded to those services for compression.
Free or Lifetime Pro
The free version processes one video per task and may show ads. A one-time Lifetime Pro purchase adds batch compression for up to 10 videos and removes the ads covered by Pro. The videos are processed one after another. If one fails, the completed files remain available, and you can retry only the failed items.
Before you start
This video size reducer is for compressing recordings, not downloading videos or doing general video editing. H.264 MP4 is the supported output format. If Android interrupts a task, you may need to restart it rather than continue from the exact frame where it stopped.
Recent changes: Improved video compression, saving, and error handling. Videos are processed on your device. Optional usage analytics remain controlled in Settings.
