Vinylet: Vinyl Music Widget

Your home screen deserves a record player.

Vinylet is a music widget that shows the song playing right now as a spinning vinyl, a cassette or a retro player: cover, title, artist and time, with play, pause and skip one tap away. Keep listening in the app you already use.

WORKS WITH YOUR MUSIC APPS
Vinylet reads the same playback info your phone shows in its media controls, so it works with most music apps that show playback controls. If two apps are playing, it follows the one you hear, and you can switch the source with a tap. Tap the cover to jump back to your player.

FOUR STYLES
• Turntable, 4×2 and a 2×2 mini: a record turning on the platter, the cover on its sleeve and a tonearm that lifts when you pause.
• Cassette, 4×2: two reels turning behind a label with the song name.
• Retro player, 2×3: a small screen with the cover and a click wheel.
• Wave strip, 4×1: a slim bar with a decorative wave, the title and controls.
Each copy on your home screen keeps its own look.

SKINS AND COLOURS
Free finishes: Matte Black, Cream and Walnut turntables, Classic and Mixtape cassettes, Graphite and Ivory players, Paper and Night strips, plus film grain, opacity and 4 color presets. Colors come from the album art, so the label changes with every song. Pro adds Brushed Alu, Smoked Acrylic, Oxblood, White Gloss, Gold Press and Splatter decks with 45 RPM; Chrome and Clear Blue cassettes; Cherry and Mint players; a Walnut strip; 8 more color presets; a VU meter and an album art backdrop.

SPINS WITHOUT DRAINING YOUR BATTERY
The record and the reels turn inside your launcher, not in Vinylet, so the motion costs no extra battery. Vinylet updates only when the song or play state changes, never on a timer.

DESK MODE
A full-screen turntable for your desk or nightstand. Drag the record to move through the song in apps that allow seeking. While open, it can stay visible when your phone is locked. Pro adds every skin and a clock face.

SHARE A STORY
Turn the song into a short 9:16 clip of the spinning record with cover, title and artist, or save a still image. Clips are silent on purpose: add the song with the music sticker of the app you post to. Free clips are 720p at 30 fps with a small watermark; HD clips are 1080p at 60 fps with none.

WHY NOTIFICATION ACCESS
Android shares the song that is playing only through Notification access. Vinylet uses it to read the media playback info in your player's controls: title, artist, album art and play or pause state. Other notifications are ignored, never read or stored. You can turn access off any time in Settings.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No microphone, no access to your files, no account. Everything stays on your phone and no listening history is kept. Clips leave it only when you share them.
