The Viz reader is incredible value for legally reading a ton of manga. The app is totally functional, although the chapter transitions could stand to be a little smoother. My biggest complaint is that a lot of recently acquired ongoing series tend to have missing chapters that can take months to backfill, but this is a licensing limitation and really the fault of Viz.

VIZ Manga feels like the more mature counterpart to Shōnen Jump. The stories are often very relatable, with clean artwork and more freedom to explore adult themes. Nudity can appear when appropriate, while violence usually supports the theme, atmosphere, or message the author is trying to convey rather than existing purely for shock value. The app works well, the subscription is reasonably priced for all the stuff you get to access. Some titles have big gaps that take a lot of time to fill. Some titles are website only, which would be fine if there was a click-through link, but it's probably a content safety requirement.

Pretty good and fair pricing but I wish there was more manga. I found it was very short which was odd considering this is VIZ. Not being able to read Mature manga in the app is a lame oversight aswell.

Was trying to read but half the chapters aren't available even with the subscription, and it's not even the latest chapters it's in the middle of the series

Let's be real here, separating shōnen from the small line up in this app is a joke. And with two separate subscription prices, it's like an assassin charge you would miss on your bank statements. I would recommend reading what you want and cancelling after to get your money's worth.
