Vocal Range Finder Voice Test

HOW THE TEST WORKS

1. Slide down to the lowest note you can sing clearly and hold it. Breathe, then hold it again to confirm.
2. Slide up to the highest note you can reach in full voice and confirm it the same way.
3. Tap Finish to see your result.

Because each end has to be held twice, one accidental growl or squeak cannot stretch your range. If your two notes are closer than a fifth, the app asks you to go higher instead of guessing a voice type.

EXTEND YOUR RANGE IN PRACTICE

Practice gives you a target one semitone beyond your current highest or lowest note. A live hint tells you whether you are too low or too high; hold the target steadily for about a second and it becomes part of your saved range. Work on your top or your bottom, and check how many notes you added over the last 7 days.

PROGRESS OVER TIME

Your range is saved as one result per day (tests on the same day are combined), and up to 60 daily results are kept so you can watch your range open up as you train.

FOR A CLEAR READING

Test in a quiet room after a short warm-up, and sing clear single notes. Microphones, background noise and warm-up all affect the reading, and voice-type boundaries vary between teachers, so use the result as a guide. Stop if anything feels strained.
