This literally saves my life as I finish my final semester in university. I was surprised with how impressively accurate the actual transcription is, and the summary notes help me understand the gist of what's being said without having to listen to the whole recording. On top of that, I was so happy to see that, unlike many of the similar apps here, Brain dump doesn't require some sort of paid subscription month, but I would be happy to donate to the developer to show my appreciation for the app.

Very good! Simple and functional. You can record only up to 10 mins of text, which is my main issue, wish it could be more, but this is the best voice memo app with transcription that I know of so far. Other ones are paywalled by a subscription. This one lets me do my thing despite its limits. Also wish there could be more languages for transcription like filipino. No cloud service, but does its job. Update: thank u for the increase to 30 mins! Also love the summary feature! Great app truly!

The app is flawed and unreliable to make notes. When I changed the way I held my phone in a horizontal position everything I typed got erased, and I had to retype again. Even if you save what you have written when you try to access the notes you made it shows the title but then when you click on the title of the notes you had made previously, the page is black it as if you never wrote a thing, you just gave a title.

Used to be okay, now its just horrible. Previously the recordings were allowed to be 15 minutes now It's just down to 1. It used to not have a limit on the amount of recordings now there is. Do your self a favor and either pirate this apps' money grab pro or just use your notes' app which is probably better fleshed out anyway.

Was happily using for months, and now it has a 5-minute limit. Removing app. Referring to the fact that it wasn't and just snuck that big change into an update

Categories action doesn't work. Added a ton of my own custom categories then started typing some notes and could not add them to any categories. Have not tried transcriptions feature yet but wanted mainly for categorized notes, also "text editor" some functions don't work snd isn't as great as description claims it to be. Would be nice if you could attach links/pics/files/etc. Pretty basic app...since it's free it will work for maybe transcription but otherwise don't waste your time.
