Jeanette and Karen are the most AMAZING hosts! They went over and above to help us with an emergency and put our minds at ease! This is our second stay with them, and we love them and their home! So so so much better service than Airbnb! In my experience VRB cares and caters to the customer and the hosts equally, while Airbnb cares and caters to the hosts first and doesn't care and absolutely doesn't cater to the paying customer! I have heard this sentiment from others as well.

The staff at the Warehouse were so kind during our stay in Athens. They were so attentive to our needs and eager to assist in making sure that we were comfortable. The food was so good and fresh and the rooms were spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Shout out to the staff at the Warehouse. ❤️

It's very difficult to get a receipt for prior lodging events. VRB website is not intuitive.

Clunky, confusing and unreliable. The bookings are requests that need host approval, but you can't cancel the request on the app. One host tried to increase the cost by $60 a night after I requested it, and another told me the dates were unavailable despite being available on the site and reissued the quote without telling me what dates it was for (that wasn't on the quote either). Because he reissued the quote, neither of us could cancel it, and we have to wait for it to time out. Terrible app

Don't expect any support from the VRB customer team. No complaints about the app. It is good. However, the customer support team needs to improve. When we arrived at a property late in the evening, we were stuck without basic amenities and the host wasn't reachable. VRB's 24x7 support didn't pick up the call despite trying multiple times (evening, night and morning). It was a terrible experience for the group.
