Comments on VRT NWS for Android

★★★★☆ Jeroen Debois · Sep 23, 2022

I really enjoy the app for my daily dose of news. It's just too bad that there are so many notifications categorized as "important news". For example, every day they upload a new podcast, it's a notification under "important news". So it's either turning of all notifications, including breaking news, or swallow the bitter pill and accept the podcast notifications as "important news" notifications.

★★★★☆ A Google user · Aug 30, 2021

I'm using this app on a daily basis. Because of good and trustworthy content. Which is quite up-to-date. One feature that would help the users a lot, is the ability to search the content. Something like searh a word or phrase within the current article or the articles of a given day. Thanks again for the good news 🙏

VRT NWS app hourly news no longer refreshing. Fix the refreshing rate for using app in Android Auto while driving on 4G 5G mobile networks on Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra model. Loading podcasts taking a long time. Update this app accordingly

Stuttering and slow when opened, when reading a news article you can see the app struggle when you scroll, please improve the performance!! (Oneplus 7T Pro)

Decent app for keeping up with the news. Layouts are nice. Major point for improvement: clarify that breaking news includes banalities like a new podcast episode and sports anchors changing jobs, so people can choose to keep up with this "breaking" news OR (preferably) fix either the app somehow notifying people for non-breaking news or educate whichever team assigns the 'breaking news' tag to non-breaking news on the definition of breaking news.
