I hope this game lasts years upon years and doesn't go the way of the other Warhammer card games because I ended up liking this more than Hearthstone, personally, and I'm still playing that (started in 2016, and kept all cards for my fav class golden/signature in standard and wild. Just for reference on how much I like that game.)

Outstanding Potential! I wanted to love Warhammer 40K Combat Cards, but I just couldn't. Warp forge absolutely has the bones of what I want a 40K CCG to be. The interface is nice, the art is beautiful, the sound is good, and the animations are clean. Each faction has specific mechanics that really capture the feel of their lore. What is missing? A detailed easy to understand game manual. Just give us an instruction booklet in the app, guys! Update the social aspects.

Learning how to play this so far I'm liking it a lot I just don't understand the mechanics yet. But I'm not letting that put me off this game I will get really good at it with practice.

Played it for a few hours, here's what I noticed: Game is completely dead and pay to win, the only people playing are Russians who flame everyone. Game is a buggy mess and closing the app to fix said bugs counts as a forfeit (in 2024)When you can't match with a player you'll get an AI with a busted deck even at low rank. Extremely expensive pay to progress. Incredibly cheap UI. Exceptionally unbalanced, you get cards you play them whoever gets better cards wins, skill doesn't matter, deck does.

Generally unbalanced game. Some leaders/factions straight up outperform others. Multiplayer matchmaking has you fighting with new and pro players regardless of what rank you are. Draft is a good mode to start learning new decks, but once you see which factions dominate, you may as well stick to those (until they get nerfed). The game constantly tosses a pop-up prompt asking you to turn on notifications each time you log in and has ridiculously priced cosmetics ($50 for a sleeve, title and packs)

Astra Military vanguard spam decks makes the game unplayable and unenjoyable. Devs should have learned after the issues with the initial Tau release that players do not want to deal with high power vanguard spamming decks, yet they released another one anyway.
