The WARSURGE App is your primary tool to play WARSURGE. You use it to design your Units and their Weapons. In addition, it provides you the ability to make Rosters, share data, roll dice and more.
There are two versions of the WARSURGE App. This version must be purchased, but will always be fully unlocked with no subscription required.
WARSURGE is a universal tabletop game where you can design and fight with any of your miniatures against any opponent. There are options for large scale warfare, covert skirmishes, single player, cooperative, story driven missions and more.
Gameplay is founded on equality, where customisation has been our main focus. Using the game’s app/software, you can customise each miniature as you desire.
WARSURGE’s game mechanics allow for two ways to play, suitable for players who prefer grand battles or epic skirmishes.
The rules have been designed for balance and fun while maintaining the element of strategy. The basics of the game are straight forward to learn, but enters a new depth of expertise when players develop their tactics with their custom units. Though WARSURGE creates equal opportunity for players to engage their miniatures on the tabletop, an experienced or opportunistic player can exploit weaknesses in their foe’s strategy.

Love it, it's a great system, any miniatures any genre, the player input is fantastic as well, would highly recommend anyone who wants out of GW but retain their army or minis, then seriously look into War surge.

A big highlight is that I can finally have my own profiles for my converted and kit bashed units. As a tabletop war game, there are so many options for playing which make the game huge. Going to take my time with this.

Bold take on table-top gaming. Plethora of design options and choices to really customize your force and make rules for "your dudes" decent polish on the overall all UI and app design. With unlimited design of your forces comes a double-edged sword is that you have to input alot of data and pick every stat for every type of unit can be alot of initial work for someone trying to jump in. Now that I have built a soild library of units and weapons It's quick but initial entry can be a chore.
