Best app I've found for route planning. Shows charge stations en route with number of charge points at each. This is ideal for targeting the sites with multiple chargers to increase chances of getting straight onto a working charger. Additionally, the maps seem to be kept up-to-date reflecting new stations.

Best app out there for EV drivers. Been driving our Leaf for 4 years of turning up at broken or busy chargers. Just used this to travel Inverurie to Dundee in Leaf24 and brilliant. We could see all the chargers displayed whilst driving and the clear display told us whether they were busy or broken. We were aiming for Arbroath, but the app told us it was busy and Montrose was free, so stopped there instead. Brilliant. Doing Dundee Glasgow Inverurie tomorrow and definitely using this app. 10/10

(original review, updated) I find this a bit unintuitive e.g. took a while to work out that to select a start point I need to choose "Advanced Plan" Also, the first place I looked for, Tibshelf, I know there's an Ecotricity pump but not on this map. (Updated after super speedy developer response, thanks) According to Ecotricity's app there is a fast AC charger which I think should work for my BMW i3. But that app is rather clunky, and I'm not sure what some of it means. Luckily I am not actually in need of a charge, just experimenting with various apps. Otherwise, this is way faster and slicker than certain rivals, possibly because it doesn't splatter the map in irrelevant pumps which make it unreadable. I believe this has a lot of potential and encourage you to keep developing it. Added an extra star for developers' great response time :-)

Range Icon? Couldn't see a suggested range icon for my car, so I could see when I definitely needed to charge by!

What a great app for easily locating contactless rapid chargers nearby in case of an emergency - no other app comes close. Route planning and other options spot on as well.

Plan a journey? All it does is give you the shortest route and one alternative route. There is no method that I can find to add way points, and it doesn't show all the chargers, only the ones on the route. The main map doesn't show all the chargers either - I know of at least 2 in my area that are not on here.

Missing 50% of chargers I use near me .... so seems very incomplete .... I've a Zoe 40 on 22kw AC only ... perfectly fine for long trips .... the pattern of what's missing not clear.... missing some fast mixed chargers that I use and 22kw AC only .... missing some of one supplier not others of same supplier ... How can I trust it to be complete anywhere new .... back to ZAP MAP

Be aware that this app is useless if your EV doesn't have DC charging. It would be better if it said that up front, but it lets you enter details of your AC-only car and then shows you some but by no means all the available fast AC chargers. It should carry a warning because it's giving you very misleading information without telling you.
